Safety of Bovilis® Neoguard in pregnant cattle
Bovilis Neoguard has a unique safety profile.
- Inactivated N. caninum tachyzoites will have no infectivity.
- The antigenic mass and the adjuvant have been tested especially for local reactions and the tolerance in pregnant animals. No negative effect during any stage of pregnancy is noted and local tolerance is good.
Safety Trial
The safety of the vaccine was evaluated in a trial involving 757 cows from non-Neosporosis diseased farms. Half of them were vaccinated during the first trimester with Bovilis Neoguard while the other half received placebo. Vaccination had clearly no negative effect on the normal reproductive performance.
