Bovilis® Neoguard

Product Description

Vaccine containing inactivated Neospora caninum tachyzoites. The adjuvant used is SPUR (also known as Havlogen). Vaccination with Bovilis Neoguard reduces the incidence of abortion due to Neosporosis in cattle.

The vaccine is used during the first trimester to ensure maximum protection during the second trimester when most problems due to Neospora caninum infection take place.

Presentation

Vials of 50ml (10 doses) and 250ml (50 doses).

Vaccination schedule

  • Administer during the first trimester of pregnancy. It is recommended to vaccinate at pregnancy diagnosis.
  • 5ml injected subcutaneously followed by a second 5ml dose 3-4 weeks later.
  • Re-vaccination with one dose as above is recommended in subsequent pregnancies.
